Help me to ride my Halloween costume?

I want to start working on my Halloween costume now! But I'm not sure what to do or accomplish. It I want to do dark style alice in wonderland! I have black hair, and I want it curly or straight, not sure which. with headband black. But for the rest not sure. How do I make a alice in wonderland dark. I do not think I really want to do as American McGee's Alice ™ (although in my I like the game). Because that is mixed with blood craziest regular alice. I want this to be sorta .. Dark Gothic alice. But if any of you read the book series Frank Beddor starting with Looking Glass Wars, I'd love to be that way, because my husband loves the books too and wants to be the Mad Hatter Maddigan called Hatter. So any help? I'm also a little more size .. Ok much more size. Im about a size 16/18. So if the clothing links, could do me a favor and make sure its not super small? =) Thanks!
